Paige Atchley Shapiro joined the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in August 2022 as the federal program officer (FPO) for the State of Tennessee. In this role, Paige coordinates partnerships and outreach with the state and local governments, community groups, and other entities with a vested interest on NTIA’s high-speed internet grant programs and policy issues. Paige works directly with Tennessee’s broadband office and the state-level county and municipal associations to ensure comprehensive engagement from all stakeholders in the state on the State’s high-speed internet planning and funding process.
Before joining NTIA, Paige was a senior program manager at Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation where she specialized in program design, adoption, and implementation. Prior to this role, Paige was a program director at the Tennessee Department of Education where she led programming to support the statewide reading initiative and served as a Management Fellow for Governor Bill Haslam.
Paige graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Education from Lipscomb University. She lives in Nashville with her husband Drew and their Golden Retriever, Nora. She loves the outdoors, reading, and cheering on the Volunteers!
